“Shopping Locally”

  • · Shop in any Tenafly Business during  the month of March 2012*
  • · Save your dated, cash register  receipts from the month March 2012*
  • · Bring them to Womraths’ or Cooktique in the month of April and exchange them for  Chamber Bucks at 10% of the receipt’s value*

(Redemption venues will be rotated to give more chamber members exposure)

  • · Must spend the Tenafly Chamber Bucks in the month of April 2012*

*Rules: Up to $500 of shopping receipts eligible for redemption, per household. “Chamber Bucks” can only be spent at any of the Tenafly Chamber of Commerce Member businesses listed on the back of the Chamber Bucks”.  Distribution limited to $2000 in Chamber Bucks total.

If this program trial in the month of March is deemed successful we will continue throughout the year pairing the next 2 months in the same manner – Shop in May with Redeem in June, Shop in July with Redeem in August, Shop in September with Redeem in October, Shop in November with Double Redeem in December  and so forth….  Customers may shop in any business but can only redeem the chamber bucks in dues paid member establishments.  It pays to be a member! Pay by March 30th to be included on the back of the Chamber Buck itself as well as listings whenever possible. Some other promotional ideas are as follows:

1.      ½ page Ad introducing the Customer Rewards Program in March

2.      Mother’s Day Contest with prizes for child and mother

3.      We are also planning a Mother’s Day Plant Give-away for the week of May 7 thru May 12- Ad

4.      Street Festival slated for June 8,9, 10 -Ad

5.      Father’s Day Raffle – with First Prize being tickets to a Yankee Game -Ad

6.      Glow Necklaces for the July 4th Festivities

7.      Ad for Back to School and Work in September/Raffle with Prizes

8.      Street Festival slated for October 5,6,7 -Ad

9.      Halloween Trick or Treat with Co-op Candy in a pumpkin purchasing -Ad

10.  Ad for the Thanksgiving Holiday featuring Black Friday and Small Business Saturday

11.  Ad Greeting the Holidays

12.  Holiday Chamber Party

13.  Holiday Parade with other community groups

We are also working with the borough to receive permission to host goods on the sidewalk on the last weekend of each month
